If you were injured in an accident and filed a personal injury claim, the insurance adjuster might start asking questions about your pre-existing conditions. But can your pre-existing conditions affect your personal injury claim? And if so, should you disclose them to the insurance company?

PERSONAL INJURY LAWYERS IN DURANGO, COLORADO
David Downs began his career defending multi-billion dollar corporations and their insurers. The time he spent doing it gave him insight into the insurance game that not all lawyers have. He has handled countless personal injury cases in over 25 years of practicing law.
Jamie McDonough was born and raised in Boston. Although he initially pursued a career in soccer, his ability to inspire and motivate his teammates lead him down the path of law where he first worked for the insurance companies but then switched sides to defend and serve regular people in personal injury cases.
Chris Cowan comes from a family of lawyers that has always represented the little guy. He has litigated against Fortune 500 companies and some of the largest international corporations in the world, representing clients for death, paralysis and brain injuries.
Meg also comes from a long line of lawyers. She spent her whole childhood watching her family use the law to help people in need and knew from an early age that it was her calling in life, too. She knows from personal experience how insurance companies work and uses that to her clients' benefit in court.

SO YOU'VE NEVER USED A LAWYER BEFORE
Hiring a lawyer doesn't necessarily mean you'll have to go to court.
For many people, the legal system seems stressful and cumbersome. We want you to know that it doesn't have to be that way. Lawyers can be hired on a budget, and many cases can be resolved with very little client involvement.
DON'T WORRY IF YOU SAID TOO MUCH OR TOO LITTLE. WE WILL HANDLE THE COMMUNICATION.
If you’re worried about hiring a lawyer, it’s understandable. Lawyers today have a bad rap as being arrogant and greedy. But we strive to be different. When you leave our office, you’ll feel much better than when you came in. No matter what you said to the police or what you said to anyone else, rest easy. Even if you accidentally incriminated yourself or said something that works against you in court, there are always ways to have statements thrown out. When it comes to your personal injury, know that you have a dedicated team of lawyers fighting in your corner.
If you’re worried that you can’t afford a lawyer, then don’t worry. When we take your case, we don’t get paid unless you do. That’s how confident we are that we can win. Not having enough money should never be a reason that people can’t get good legal representation, especially when they have been wronged and truly need it. We want to make sure that those in need are taken care of. So if you’ve never had to hire a lawyer before, or you’ve had a bad experience with one in the past, let us change that for you.
When you hire Downs, McDonough, Cowan & Foley, you can rest easy knowing that you’ve hired a team of lawyers who know what they’re doing and take great pride in their work. We don’t win unless you do and we will always fight to make sure that happens.
The animal surely can’t be held responsible or sued for damages, but if there is a negligent owner who allowed the animal to roam freely, that person may be held liable. Likewise, if the driver of the vehicle was speeding or otherwise breaking the law, the driver’s negligence could be assessed to determine fault. The common denominator is not always easy to determine fault in an accident with an animal.
